Samenvatting

Citizen participation in research, innovation, and implementation can strengthen the success of health interventions. The Dutch research group Bridge2Health focuses on citizen science (CS), considering it an overarching concept for approaches and methods that actively engage citizens in the research, development, and implementation of health interventions. Bridge2Health emphasizes intensive, cocreative forms of CS. This poses challenges within the health domain in areas such as democratization, ethics, data management, and education. Bridge2Health develops methods, standards, and training programs to support CS, enabling its effective application in the health domain.
