A qualitative and correlative analysis of biodiversity and waterquality in Curah Tangkil and Bulurancang

Samenvatting

Biodiversity and water quality analysis was performed in the Bulurancang and Curah Tangkil springs present in mount Arjuno-Welirang. These values were correlated via the Pearson method. It was found that Bulurancang consistently showed higher species richness, diversity indices, and taxa in comparison to Curah Tangkil. With Bulurancang showing a significant greater value in richness and abundance to Curah Tangkil. Water quality was found to be very consistent, in contrast Bulurancang includes both waters of excellent and poor quality. Curah Tangkil illogical negative correlations were found, likely due to the small dataset. While for Bulurancang scientifically supported correlations were found but did not disprove the null hypothesis. Further advice regarding the management of the springs is given working with the results found.
