This thesis report has been commissioned by the Water Authority Limburg. The report provides an analysis of the different potential benefits of communal forest gardens implemented in urban environments in the Netherlands, as well as an evaluation on the requirements and conditions necessary to successfully …

Abstract and poster (poster title differs).

Fast charging is seen as a means to facilitate long-distance driving for electric vehicles (EVs). As a result, roll-out planning generally takes a corridor approach. However, with higher penetration of electric vehicles in urban areas, cities contemplate whether inner-city fast chargers can be an alternative …

As society has to adapt to changing energy sources and consumption, it is driving away from fossil energy. One particular area of interest is electrical driving and the increasing demand for (public) charging facilities. For municipalities, it is essential to adapt to this changing demand and provide …

Perfluoro alkyl substances (PFAS) are substances in which contain multiple fluorine atoms. The fluorine atoms are bound to, often, long carbon chains. PFAS are able to repel dirt and water, due to the large amount of fluorine atoms in the molecules. PFAS are also chemically and thermally stable. Many …

Coral reefs are one of the most important ecosystems in the world, in terms of both biological diversity and economy. These ecosystems are under a great amount of threats (e.g. climate change, pollution, coastal development and overfishing), which can lead to reef degradation and decrease of three-dimensional …

Background: A higher protein intake is suggested to preserve muscle mass during aging and may therefore reduce the risk of sarcopenia. Objectives: We explored whether the amount and type (animal or vegetable) of protein intake were associated with 5-y change in mid-thigh muscle cross-sectional area (CSA) …

In recent decades, a considerable amount of literature on interdisciplinary collaboration has been published. Interdisciplinary collaboration plays an important role in matching services to the individual needs of children and young people, but working interdisciplinary appears to be hard for youth social …

Energy dissipative steel cushions (EDSCs) are simple units that can be used to join structural members. They can absorb a substantial amount of seismic energy due to their geometric shapes and the ductile behavior of mild steel. Large deformation capability and stable hysteretic behavior were obtained …

This paper is investigating an existing photogrammetry workflow to find a method for increasing its viability for scanning in smaller objects in a production scenario. We are taking a closer look at the different production steps within the scanning process, to examine their influences on the overall …
