Urbanisation and climate change increase the need for quantitative insight into the contribution of nature-based solutions (NbS) to climate adaptation. While NbS are widely implemented at local scales, their aggregated contribution to regional and national adaptation ambitions remains largely unknown. …

This research originated from the need to transform unstructured internship assignment descriptions from the OnStage dataset into structured insights that support a better understanding of SME challenges in the Zeeland region. The objective was to contribute to the desired future situation in which the …

This inaugural volume, Breaking Barriers: Accelerating Transitions, brings together papers and abstracts presented at the Conference on Energy, Livestock, and Mobility Transitions, part of the New Energy Forum in Groningen. The publication reflects both the rapid development of the energy transition …

Presentation about the development and testing of the quality framework for transdisciplinary practice-oriented research, in the context of SPRONG Sure (Sustainable Cities and Regions)

Small wind turbines face significant challenges in achieving commercial viability due to lower efficiency and higher energy costs compared to utility-scale systems and competing renewable technologies. Counter-rotating dual-rotor wind turbines (CR-DRWTs) with dual-rotational armature configurations offer …

The maritime industry faces increasing demands for continuous professional development due to rapid technological advancements, evolving safety regulations, and the need for a proactive safety culture (Caesar, 2023; Parviainen et al., 2018). Yet, seafarers often encounter barriers such as long working …

Abstract. The accelerating energy transition requires a well-trained workforce capable of im-plementing innovative building technologies and renewable energy systems. However, em-ployees in the construction and HVAC installation sectors often lack access to up-to-date train-ing due to high workloads, …
