In this article we examine the experiences of the first and second author who have changed themselves to become newly attuned to the sun, or who have “become solar”. Motivated by calls to approach solar design in novel, less technocratic ways, we reflect on their one-year journey to gain a new relationship …

This paper presents a comprehensive study on assisting new AI programmers in making responsible choices while programming. The research focused on developing a process model, incorporating design patterns, and utilizing an IDE-based extension to promote responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) practices. …

This review is the first step in a long-term research project exploring how social robotics and AI-generated content can contribute to the creative experiences of older adults, with a focus on collaborative drawing and painting. We systematically searched and selected literature on human-robot co-creativity, …

This is a print publication of the inaugural lecture of Research Professor (Lector) Patricia de Vries at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, in Amsterdam. In this lecture, she elaborated on the research area of her research group Art & Spatial Praxis. The research group Art & Spatial Praxis focuses on artistic …

Background To improve transmural palliative care for older adults acutely admitted to hospital, the PalliSupport intervention, comprising an educational programme and transmural palliative care pathway, was developed. This care pathway involves timely identification of palliative care needs, advance …

This project aimed to develop and design a welding support that reduces the peak torque load on the wrist to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders and allow workers to live and work longer, better, and healthier. To achieve this within twenty weeks, the Technology Readiness Level and the method …

Purpose The aim of this study is to provide insights into how the purchasing function can increase the maturity of smart maintenance management (SMM) in construction clients by (1) assessing current SMM maturity and (2) developing an adapted service triad for purchasing's meaningful involvement in SMM. …

The demands on lecturers in higher education to select, structure, and contextualise relevant and up-to-date resources for their students have increased; behaviour that is often referred to as curation. Currently, systematic insight into lecturers’ curational behaviour is limited. This scoping literature …

Robots are increasingly used in a variety of work environments, but surprisingly little attention has been paid to how robots change work. In this comparative case study, we explore how robotization changed the work design of order pickers and order packers in eight logistic warehouses. We found that …

This research investigates power optimization in Thread mesh wireless networks through an algorithmic approach, aiming to reduce overall power consumption while maintaining reliable network performance. Transmission power serves as a key parameter for achieving energy efficiency, and the study focuses …
