Crime scene investigations require rapid decision-making under complex conditions, often without the opportunity for revision. Task-relevant information from similar cases can support Scene of Crime Officers (SoCOs) in making these decisions. Decision support can reduce human error and subjectivity, …

Efficient hydrogen (H2) storage remains a major challenge for clean energy applications. This study presents an AI-driven methodology to optimize H2 storage in porous carbon adsorbents. A comprehensive dataset of 917 literature-derived entries was used to develop two machine learning models: Random Forest …

Computed tomography (CT) at the third lumbar vertebra (L3) is widely used for muscle quantification, but manual segmentation is labor intensive. This study externally validates an AI model, trained on a public dataset, for automated L3 muscle segmentation using an independent cohort, including a subgroup …

Methane, the primary component of natural gas, emits less carbon dioxide than other petroleum-based fuels but faces challenges in efficient storage and transportation. Advanced adsorption materials provide a safe and cost-effective solution, with metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) emerging as promising …

By addressing the sub-research questions, the main research question and data mining goal were answered. Drought tolerance can be quantified using yield loss between control and drought treatments and robustly assessed by ranking varieties within each year. Varieties that consistently rank high or low …

Forecasting the thermal behavior of flexible heating assets is essential for real-time energy management in heating systems. While thermal dynamics are complex, the optimization algorithms within energy management systems (EMS) require low-order models with minimal computational load to make rapid, real-time …

This paper presents a conceptual model for creating digital educational games that aim to reduce mathematics anxiety (MA) and promote positive emotional engagement in mathematics education. No empirical data were collected or analyzed; the proposed model is based on a synthesis of theory and empirical …

The goal of this study was to expand knowledge on the longitudinal relationships between motor skill competence, physical activity, perceived motor competence, health-related fitness, and weight status and its age dependency in children between 6 and 11 years old. Participants were Dutch primary school …

To reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the transport sector, shifting to rail transport is crucial. This transition will increase the demand on existing rail infrastructure, necessitating large-scale monitoring to maintain its resilience. Point cloud data are an ideal candidate for this purpose, as …
