BACKGROUND: Family members play a vital role in supporting patients during hospitalization, yet their involvement is often insufficiently recognized. Existing family assessment tools are typically developed for community or long-term care settings and are too complex or time-intensive for hospital use. …

Abstract. The accelerating energy transition requires a well-trained workforce capable of im-plementing innovative building technologies and renewable energy systems. However, em-ployees in the construction and HVAC installation sectors often lack access to up-to-date train-ing due to high workloads, …

The Zeeburg Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) pilot project (2021-2026) evaluated a 240 kW, 336 kWh battery system supplementing a 55 kW grid connection for 8 dual-connector charging stations located at a Park + Ride facility in Amsterdam. This document answers the original research questions and …

The demand for assistive technology is expected to rise alongside the increasing care needs of aging populations. Ambient intelligence, particularly context awareness, offers potential benefits in addressing challenges faced by the healthcare system. In dementia care, context awareness can facilitate …

In this study, eye-tracking and deep learning are employed to classify pilot experience during a twin-engine Piper Seneca flight simulator based on the potential to enhance aviation training and safety through the integration of human cognitive behaviors with artificial intelligence to optimize inter-cognitive …

Aviation safety relies greatly on understanding human factors and pilot behaviour. This study uses innovative eye-tracking biometrics and predictive analytics to enhance aviation landing performance in a twin-engine Piper Seneca simulation. With a Tobii Glass 3 eye tracker, gaze patterns from two pilots …

This study evaluates the effect of gamification on the engagement and performance of first-year students in the International Supply Chain Management course at a University of Applied Sciences. Several students were exposed to the pilot of The Fresh Connection compact, a simulation game which was implemented …
